BMW R nine T worth or not?
The BMW R nine T is a standard motorcycle introduced by BMW Motorrad in 2014. It is a retro styled roadster viewed by many custom builders as a "blank canvas for customizing".
All models have anti-lock braking system (ABS). Automatic stability control (ASC) is
available as an option.
Design
elements
The BMW R nine T has several design
elements configured to allow the bike to be easily modified, such as separate engine and chassis wiring harness and minimal
bolts attaching the rear subframe, tail lights, and headlight.
The R nine T version of the bike has
upside-down (USD) telescopic forks (rather than the BMW "Tele lever items).
The other versions have conventional telescopic forks.
All variations have an air/oil-cooled
"oil head" flat twin "boxer" 1,170CC engine, which has the
inlet manifold at the rear of the cylinders and the exhaust at the front. The
oil head is arguably more suitable for customization as it has a more
"conventional" appearance than the new water-cooled engine.
As of 2017 there are five different
variations of this motorcycle:
·
R nine T - with upside-down (USD) telescopic forks
·
R nine T PURE - styled back roadster design
·
R nine T URBAN G/S* - similar look and style to the R80 G/S with large
19-inch front wheel
· R nine T RACER S - a Café racer for a solo rider, with a nose fairing in blue, white and red trim.
· R nine T SPORT - UK-only version with Akrapovic silencer and Café racer styling
·
R nine T SCRAMBLER - design features of the scrambler era with large
19-inch front wheel.
In a The Daily Telegraph review, Roland Brown
wrote: The BMW R nine T is "... not the bike for impecunious custom
builders, but a retro roadster that combines heritage,
good looks, high quality finish and entertaining performance in one cleverly
integrated package, with potential for easy personalization".
A Motor Cycle News review says of the R nine T: "The build quality is superb and the attention to detail impeccable. It goes, stops and handles as well as the best roadsters out there, thanks to its modern chassis, suspension and braking components. But there’s a lovely twist with the old-school air-cooled Boxer engine".
The R nine T SCRAMBLER variant was featured in the 2019 film 'War'

CONCLUSION
So we can easily conclude that BMW R nine T is worth it and is excellent in its performance but as the Motor Cycle News said that it has a little problem with old-school air-cooled Boxer engine. BMW is working on it and we hope it can be resolved easily.
